Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch. 5-Year Degree Course)
The Bachelor of Architecture is an Undergraduate professional degree course. The broad objective of the course is to impart both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to students to prepare them for a professional career in the field of architecture.
As per GGSIPU, the duration of the B. Arch. course (Code 100) is 5 years and divided into 10 semesters. Much of the theoretical knowledge is gained in application and research mode being integrated into practical /studio and seminar activity-based courses. The programme is also designed to meet the guidelines of the Council of Architecture for B.Arch. - the degree that meets the eligibility criteria for registration with the COA as an “Architect”.
B.Arch. Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility conditions shall be as per Council of Architecture notification(s) applicable at the time of admissions. Candidates may see the web site of the Council, http://www.coa.gov.in/. All candidates must have passed the National Aptitude Test of Architecture (NATA) – 2024 conducted by Council of Architecture. For eligibility for NATA candidates are advised to refer the official website of Council of Architecture i.e. http://www.coa.gov.in
Candidates who have passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects or 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject, are eligible to seek admission in the B.Arch. Course for the academic session 2024-2025
B.Arch. Admission Criteria
GGSIPU post merit List for Admissions made on the basis of NATA Score and the percentage of Aggregate* marks, i.e., (percentage will be calculated considering all the subjects) obtained in the qualifying examination, i.e. Senior secondary level or equivalent.
