A skill development
program was organized by the MBS SPA Training and Placement cell in with
collaboration with the MBS SPA Academic cocurricular team on 25th April
2019 for the students of fourth year.
The Aim to provide insight knowledge of the Subject AP-501, Practical Training
and to guide and
support students individually in their Internship period, which is the most
sensitive transition phase from students to professionals.
The session was conducted in following two parts:
1. A Lecture
briefing about requirements and
things to be expected from the students as intern during Internship as well as
pre and post Internship stages was conducted by Training and Placement
officers, Ar. Amrita Kaur Gulati and Ar. Mansha Samreen. Through this interactive session, the students
were briefed about the FIVE major aspects Practical Training.

1st – The
Importance and benefits of the subject.
·
2nd – The
path needed to follow from pre-internship to post-internship.
·
3rd - The
Behavior and Professional Ethics.
·
4th –The
Documents Required to complete Internship successfully.
·
5th – To make
portfolio, CV and how to handle the interview.
2. A mock interview
session was also conducted thereafter. Ar. Deepak Kumar from the Academic co-curricular
team conducted the Mock interview session.

All the students interested for appearing in the mock
interview session were required to submit their updated CV (hard copy) to Ar. Mansha Samreen beforehand. The
panel of six faculty members who took the interview session also gave feedback
to the students and showed them the areas of improvements.
This session not only helped the
students in development of their resume writing and portfolio making skills but
also gave them a good idea of what to expect when they are in the world outside
the campus.
